As principal and CEO, Jarrod oversees all aspects of the client experience, from strategic planning and investment implementation to structuring financial roadmaps for clients. As a fiduciary, he is responsible for organizing the team’s focus to maintain a client-centric firm. Although Jarrod spent much of his career meeting the needs of the ultra-wealthy, today he is following his passion: serving everyday people in their prime earning years, as well as those nearing retirement.
Jarrod started his working life as an investment advisor before becoming a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), assisting our nation’s veterans as a Senior Financial Planner for USAA. Later, he served as Director of Business Development and Senior Planner for one of Texas’ largest and most profitable Registered Investment Advisors. In recent years, he also acted as Partner and Senior Advisor to a specialized private wealth management firm before founding Gap Financial Services. As of 2019, he accepted an appointment from the Texas Lt. Governor to serve on the Texas Prepaid Higher Education Tuition Board, a group of experts dedicated to managing the Texas Tuition Promise Fund and Texas 529 Savings Plan.
In addition to the CFP®, Jarrod holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC®), Cash Balance Consultant (CBC®), Certified Health Savings Advisor (CHSA®), and Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL®) designations. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BBA in Finance. Jarrod has been married for twenty-eight years and has one high-school aged daughter. As President, Lorri brings clarity and vision to the firm from both the public and private sectors. After more than a decade of teaching in the high school classroom, she moved into the world of consulting and discovered the absence of quality solutions for growing and maintaining the wealth of everyday people. She co-founded Gap Financial and coordinates the efforts of a team of credentialed advisors to fill that gap. In her spare time, Lorri is a published freelance writer and volunteers with many organizations associated with her church and her child's school. She and Jarrod, her husband of 27 years, live in Austin.
